I said it'd never happen. I lied.

Well, I kinda lied. 
But not really. 

Lemme explain myself here. 
Back when I wrote this post I mentioned the reason why I've never bothered owning a cool phone.

Well, all that jazz went out the window last week when my Blackberry died. 
[sidenote: I don't miss it at all.]
To make a long story short, my husband used his upgrade to surprise me with an iphone 4s. 
First off, THANK YOU, husband, for your selflessness.
Secondly, thank You, God! 
I didn't realize how much I was missing out on, folks.
I mean, I could totally live without an iphone BUT all this time I've been deprived of Facetime.
And Facetime is perfect for me because so much of my family lives on the East Coast. 
Yesterday, for the first time, I used Facetime to speak with my parents and my nieces. 
It was SO nice to see their faces, watch them smile, give them a virtual tour of my home, and just feel a lot more connected with them. 

Also, I will now be way more active on Twitter. Finally!

There's about a bagillion other reasons why this iphone is better than my Blackberry, but I'm sure you're well aware of the coolness of it by now. =)

And, of course, I had to get on the Instagram train, too!
